Band of Brothers Tour
Follow the journey of Major Richard Winters and the men of Easy Company from the early hours of D Day in Normandy France to the taking of the Eagles Nest in Berchtesgaden, Germany. Travel through France, Holland, Belgium and Germany and trace their footsteps through battles they were involved in and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
To make the most of your stay we advise an early morning flight from Dublin to Paris which is usually between 6.30 and 7.00am although later flights are available from Belfast. This means that we can begin our tour at Lunchtime on the day of arrival. Return flights will be from Salzburg, Austria. Accommodation will be based in Bayeux, France, Eindhoven, Holland, Bastogne, Belgium and Berchtesgaden, Germany depending on availability and will consist of twin room sharing unless specifically requested. Single person supplement may apply. At the end of the tour all guests will be dropped off at Salzburg International Airport for return to Ireland.

Day 1
Arrival in Normandy. En route to our hotel in Bayeux a stop at the famous Pegasus Bridge and Cafe Gondree for coffee and a quick background into D Day and the arrival of the British and American Airborne. Then onto Bayeux and the afternoon and evening to discover this beautiful city.

Day 2
We start the morning of by visiting the crash site of Lt. Thomas Meehan, the original commanding officer of Easy Company.
Then onto Saint Mere Eglise and the misdrop of Lt Richard Winters.
From there its onto Utah Beach and a brief summary of the landings which the 101st Airborne were there to support.
Brecourt Manor and the attack on the gun battery firing on Utah Beach.

Onto Carentan and the taking of the town by the 101st Airborne
Day 2

Leaving Bayeux we travel to Eindhoven in Holland. This is one of 2 long road trips taking approximately 6 hours to reach our hotel. Having checked in you have the afternoon and evening to look around the city.

Day 4
We start the day with an overview of Operation Market Garden
Our Tour starts at the “Island” between the River Waal and the Lower Rhine which was the 101sts dug in position on the 2nd of October 1944 during its first days in Holland.

Upon arrival the tour commences with an oversight of The Battle of the Bulge and Easy Cos role and a tour of the besieged town.

We move out of Bastogne and start our day visiting the Bastogne War Musuem.
Then onto Bois Jacques and the foxholes occupied by members of Easy Company.
The tour moves to the close by village of Foy and the engagement that happened on the 13th of January 1945.
Finishing off our tour at the Ardennes American Cemetery at Neupre.

We move out of Bastogne and start our day visiting the Bastogne War Musuem.
Then onto Bois Jacques and the foxholes occupied by members of Easy Company.
The tour moves to the close by village of Foy and the engagement that happened on the 13th of January 1945.

Leaving Bastogne we now take our 2nd long road trip to Berchtesgaden in Germany which is approximately 7 hours.
Upon arrival relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the German Alps.

Travel to the Eagles Nest and The Berghof, Hitlers official residence and discover the race to take the town.
Final night as a group before leaving the following day to travel to Salzburg and onward flight back to Ireland.
