Follow the Airborne landings of the allied troops around the Dutch bridges at Arnhem, Eindhoven and Nijmegen and the land operation involving XXX Corps of the British Second Army between the 17th and 25th of September 1944.
To make the most of your stay we advise an early morning flight from Dublin to Amsterdam which is usually between 6.30 and 7.00am although later flights are available from Belfast. This means that we can begin our tour at Lunchtime on the day of arrival. Accommodation will be based either be in Eindhoven depending on availability and will consist of twin room sharing unless specifically requested. Single person supplement may apply.

Day 1
Upon arrival the tour will commence with the landings of the American 101st Airborne at Eindhoven and the liberation of the town on the 18th of September 1944. The tour includes the failure to secure the bridges at Son and Best and the advance and support of the British XXX Corps.

Day 2
The tour makes it way to Nijmegen and the landings of the American 82nd Airborne and the eventual capture of the bridges assisted again by British XXX Corps. The river crossing on the northern bank of the Waal and the eventual liberation of the city.

Day 3
The battle for Arnhem and the fight of the Brirish 1st Airborne Division around the famous Arnhem Bridge taking in the Arnhem Airborne Museum and 1st Division Headquarters located at the old Hartenstein Hotel. Also included is a visit to the Jonkerbos War Cemetery.
After leaving Arnhem the members of the tour have free time to discover Eindhoven itself before departure the following day.

The battle for Arnhem and the fight of the Brirish 1st Airborne Division around the famous Arnhem Bridge taking in the Arnhem Airborne Museum and 1st Division Headquarters located at the old Hartenstein Hotel. Also included is a visit to the Jonkerbos War Cemetery.
After leaving Arnhem the members of the tour have free time to discover Eindhoven itself before departure the following day.
